Jack wants to add Pete Michaels to the list of Vents for 2008 but To give Pete his due I will place him in the runing for 2009 along with Taylor Mason do you have any others you would like to add remember this is your blog spot as well as mine....

My vote would be for Pete Micheles. I do feel he is the most unigue, original and underrated vent in the business....

Hi,
I saw some things that you wrote & found them very interesting. I first became interested in ventriloquism when my sister in law bought me a Jerry Mahoney for my 40th birthday. I collect a lot of 50's & 60's pop culture memorabilia, so she thought I would enjoy it. Since then I have collected quite a few others, including Knucklehead, Charlie McCarthy, Mortimer, Howdy Doody, Ricky Little, etc. I saw something that you wrote about White Fang & Black Tooth. I was wondering if you knew where I might be able to buy these Soupy hand puppets, as I've always been a big fan of his. Please let me know if you have any leads on this.

N J, I'm sure you and "C.J." will become fast friends. I own two of Clinton's figures and both are wonderful. I have "Scotty" with blond hair and blue eyes. I also have "Eli" with gray hair, brown eyes, and a gray mustache. I hope "C.J." gets along with the rest of your "family."

While growing up as a product of the television era in the 1950s and 1960s I had many influential heroes, some were well known some not so...those who everyone knew were Howdy Doody, Captain Kangeroo, Jimmy Nelson, Soupy Sales, Paul Winchell, Edger Bergan, Shari Lewis, and of course Jim Henson and the list could go on and on, many vents of today who seldom made it to the TV screen or those who as a young mind forgotten, excuse me for that....
