JOINED THE HICKSVILLE FOLLIES AND WENT TO HOLLYWOOD. 1926 VAUDEVILLE.ATTENDED INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF MAGICIANS CONVENTIONS. 1930 JOINED INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF MAGICIANS. 1932 NATIONAL BARN DANCE (WLS) [HERE HE MEETS GENE AUTRY]. 'ELMER' STOLEN. iN 1936 HE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD, MAKES A FEW MOVIES WITH AUTRY AND JOHN WAYNE AND THE REST AS THEY SAY IS HOLLYWOOD HISTORY. I met Max Terhune at a theatre in Evansville, In, my home town, back in the late ‘50s(I think)(to long ago for me to remember for sure) He did a one-man show in front of the screen after the western he was in. Then I saw him again at a IBM convention in Columbus, Oh. In 1969(I think) He did a great routine about Elmer traveling on the train. I would sure love to have that routine.
